Corrie is Lucy’s sister in law, a close member of the family who had the privilege of witnessing Lucy as a mother and aunt, imparting lessons that will remain a beautiful legacy within the lives of Lucy’s children, as well as her own.

Corrie has a theatre, education, and counseling background. She taught and directed theatre at the middle school level for ten years before pursuing her master’s degree in professional counseling. She will continue to support children, adolescents, and their families by transitioning into private practice.

Corrie brings her counseling skills and interpersonal strengths to the Lucy Shair Foundation.

Ellen and Lucy met when Lucy and her family relocated to Grand Rapids and moved in around the block. They quickly connected with children the same ages, similar interests, and soon discovered they worked at the same accounting firm, PwC.

Ellen fondly remembers many enlivened conversations with Lucy discussing life, politics, finance, and fishing.

Ellen brings her 15 years in tax consulting, treasury, and program management to the Lucy Shair Foundation.

Anne Petruzzi, Secretary

Anne Petruzzi, Secretary

Anne describes her friendship with Lucy as a bonfire. It ignited instantly. It was loud, fun, intense, and profound.  Throughout their too short time, they supported each other as entrepreneurs, as mothers, and in community involvement.

Anne held Lucy’s hand the night she passed, and assured Lucy that her friends would carry her passions forward.  No doubt, Lucy would love the mission of this Foundation, in her name, supporting women in finance.

Anne brings her career experience in Business Development to the Lucy Shair Foundation.

Amber Brooks

Amber Brooks, Officer
Director of Fundraising
amber@lucyshairfoundation.org

Amber and Lucy met in 2015 when their sons were in the same kindergarten class. However, it wasn’t until 2018 that Amber and Lucy really came to know each other better. Their relationship centered around supporting and lifting each other up in their businesses and goals.

Amber always admired how effortlessly Lucy could network and connect people. She hopes to use the foundation to continue this support of women entering into the financial advising career path.

Amber brings her entrepreneurial knowledge, fundraising acumen, and portrait photography experience to the Lucy Shair Foundation.

Alisa Devlaeminck

Alisa Devlaeminck, Officer
Director of Communications
alisa@lucyshairfoundation.org

Alisa met Lucy in 2014 and quickly realized Lucy’s talent for bringing out her silly side. Some of Alisa's fondest memories with Lucy include family camping trips, impromptu happy hours, Lake Michigan beach outings, and dancing in the rain.

When Alisa shared her struggle with depression, Lucy listened with compassion and connected her with a therapist. Alisa still smiles and says a little shout out to Lucy every time she has a therapy appointment.

Alisa is a veteran HR professional and coach who cares deeply about people. She is inspired by Lucy’s teachings to bring a sense of belonging, connection, and purpose to the Lucy Shair Foundation.
